Terms of Business for Fore Wood Floors Ltd
1. General Terms
- These terms apply to all transactions with Fore Wood Floors Ltd. By placing an order, or accepting a quote you accept these terms.
2. Product Description
- We provide detailed descriptions, images and samples of our flooring products. Please note that natural variations will occur in wood grain and colour and this is not a fault but normal characteristic of a natural product
3. Pricing
- All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and pricing is net of VAT and are subject to change. Pricing is based on the selected product and any custom specifications.
4. Orders
- Orders can be placed by email via phone, or in-store. A confirmation will be sent upon order receipt.
5. Special Orders
- Full payment is required for all special orders, including custom sizes or finishes or none stock items. Special orders that are not in are stock and have to be sourced are non-refundable due to the unique nature of these products.
6. Payment Terms
- Full payment must be completed at the time of order. We accept the following payment methods: Online Transfer or BACS and card payments. When payment is made you agree/accept to our terms of business.
7. Delivery
- Estimated delivery dates will be provided at the time of order confirmation. Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
8. Returns and Exchanges
- We do not accept returns or exchanges on special orders/none stock items, Standard Stock products may be returned if in original condition that we stock within 14 days days if in original condition.
9.Sub floor
- While every effort is made to assess the condition of the subfloor prior to installation, it is not always possible to determine whether additional preparation (such as latex levelling or screeding) will be necessary until the existing floor covering is removed and the new flooring is being laid.
- If, during the installation process, it becomes evident that the subfloor is unsuitable for the new flooring to be laid directly (e.g., due to unevenness, dampness, or structural issues), we will inform the client immediately.
- In such cases, any additional work required—such as latexing, screeding, or damp-proofing—will be treated as a variation to the original contract. A separate quotation will be provided, and no further work will be carried out until the client has approved the additional cost in writing (subject to contract).
- By agreeing to these terms, the client acknowledges that subfloor preparation requirements may not be fully identifiable prior to installation and agrees to allow for potential additional works where necessary.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Fore Wood Floors Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from the purchase or use of our products.
11. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
12. Amendments
- We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website.
11.Warranty
- We provide a warranty against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage from improper installation or maintenance.
